  • 2010 Veritas Vineyard Petit Verdot Paul Shaffer 4th Edition Monticello – USA, Virginia, Central Virginia, Monticello (10/27/2018)
    WIMLNR (forgot)

    Tasted double blind.

Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of dirty baby diaper and bell pepper. Light palate of simple berries and cherries. Medium acidity, drying tannin, medium body. Drink now.

This is definitely the trick wine in this Halloween Trick or Treat double blind wine tasting.

My guess was this is a recent vintage of a Texas Hill Country Cabernet Franc. Not too bad a guess I guess since both Virginia and Texas versus Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot are all outliers so to speak.
