    Tasted non blind. Opened and served immediately.

    Light yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of gooseberries, grass and grapefruit. Flavors of grapefruit and orange rind. Medium acidity, light to medium body. Drink now. (91 points)

  • 2007 Pax Syrah Cuvée Keltie – USA, California, North Coast (9/1/2013)

    Tasted non blind at a wine dinner.

    Purple color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of roasted meat, currants, plums and black berries. Flavors of currants, plums and berries. Medium acidity, medium tannin, full bodied. Drink or hold. (90 points)

All served on draught. Tasted February 23, 2012:

* Rogue Double Chocolate Stout
* North Coast Red Seal
* Stone Double Bastard

The Rogue is a nice chocolate stout. Good chocolate aromas and flavors. Wouldn’t hesitate to order again. Let’s call this one four out of five stars.

The North Coast is a A nice pale ale but a little light on the nose and palate for my preferences. Let’s call this one three out of five stars.

The Stone is not as strong of a strong ale as anticipated. Bit subdued nose, good round palate. Would order again. Let’s call it four out of five stars.
