    Tasted non blind. Opened and glass decanted 90 minutes before serving. Followed over another 90 minutes.

    Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of thistle, boysenberry, plum, pepper, sandalwood and currant. Flavors of berries, cherries, boysenberries and a bit of plum on the medium finish. Medium acidity, medium to firm tannins, full bodied. Drink over the next 3-5 years. Decanting is optional. (92 points)

    Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of soapstone, soft spices, berries and plums. Flavors of tart berries, cherries and plums. Medium acidity, medium tannins, full bodied. I’ll say drink or hold but this particular bottle was a little tight or closed on the palate so I’m thinking of holding. No rating at this time.

    Garnet to perhaps dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of lavender, plums and berries. Flavors of berries, plums and a bit of cherries. Medium acidity, medium tannins. full bodied. Drink over the next 3-4 years with a little air time up front. (92 points)
