  • 2005 Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Clos de la Maréchale – France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru (10/5/2019)

Tasted non blind. Opened and served immediately. Followed over about 3-4 hours.

Garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Tight nose that eventually opened with some air showing notes of mixed spices, mixed dark fruits and a hint of roasted meat. Tight palate eventually giving way to flavors of black cherries, black raspberries and plums. Bright acidity, medium to firm tannin, full bodied. Drink now with some air or continue to hold. (94 points)
