    Garnet color in the glass, slightly dusty looking. Nose of dust, black pepper, black berries and anise. Flavors of cranberries, red tangy berries and red raspberries. Seems a little hot on the finish. Tart acidity, drying tannin, medium to full bodied. Drink over the short term.

    Smells a looks like it might be an older wine.

    My guess was Nebbiolo (0), Piedmont (0), Italy (0), Vintage (0). Missed that one by a country mile! (90 points)

    Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of kirsch, black pepper, soapstone and florals. Rich and juicy flavors of plums, berries and cherries. Medium acidity, firm tannin, full bodied. Drink now with some air or continue to hold. The pretty firm tannin caught me a little off guard. Thought they’d be more resolved by now. (93 points)
