S1 VISITS DALLAS! OPENING CANTATA. – Urbano Cafe, Dallas, Texas (3/15/2013)

S1 and his lovely bride were in town for a convention this week and managed to sneak away for a little fellowship, breaking of bread and drinking wine. 15 of us gathered on Friday night at Urbano Cafe. Wine theme was “Burgundyesque” so there was lots of white and red Burgunday to be shared as well as some lovely Champagne, California Pinot Noir and a couple of dandy sweet wines to wrap things up. Here are the results:

Champagne Flight

Medium acidity, full bodied. Throwing a fair amount of sediment. Drink now. Surprised this LBV bottled in 1974 has held up so well. (92 points)
