    Light garnet color looking, slightly dusty looking throughout. Nose of iodine, root beer and red berries. Flavors of raspberries and red berries. Tart acidity, resolved tannin, medium body. Drink now. Be sure and stand and decant for sediment. (91 points)

    Reddish, brownish color in the glass, slightly dusty looking. Nose of leather, herbs, iodine and anise. Flavors of berries and earth. Tart acidity, fully resolved tannin, medium body. Drink now. (89 points)

    Garnet with slight brownish edges, a little dusty looking. Nose of white pepper, melted black licorice and black berries. Light flavors of black berries. Light to medium acidity, drying tannins, medium to full bodied. Drink now. (92 points)

    Tasted non blind. Opened and served immediately.

    Garnet to rust color in the glass, dusty looking. Nose of leather, iron and wet stones. Flavors of tart red berries and raspberries. Quickly started to fade within 20-30 minutes. Tart acidity, resolved tannins, medium body. Drink them now if you have them.

    Tasted non blind at a wine tasting.

    Caramel color in the glass, dusty looking. Clearly on it’s last legs. Still attractive nose of earth, ash, tobacco and wet stones. Flavors of black berries, black cherries and golden raisins. Tart acidity, medium tannin, medium to full bodied. Depending on provenance could be held but I’d lean towards drinking now myself. (92 points)

    Tasted non blind with dinner. Allowed to slow-O for about an hour before serving. Followed over about an hour.

    Dark garnet to purple color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of leather, tar, currant, flowers, black berries and black cherries. Flavors of black cherries, black berries, black raspberries, a bit of earthiness and minerality on the long finish. Bright acidity, medium to firm tannin, full bodied. Drink or hold. Allow to air a bit if opening now. (93 points)
