  • 2000 Château Grand Corbin-Despagne – France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru (4/16/2011)

Tasted non blind. Opened and served immediately. Followed over 3-4 hours.

Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of boysenberry, lavender, leather, black berries and plums. Palate is still a little shut down only giving way to some simple berry flavors. Medium to bright acidity, medium tannins, full bodied. I’d recommend holding at the moment. I’ll be extending my final 3 bottles out to 2014-2016 and re-taste the wine then.
