- 2000 Concha y Toro Cabernet Sauvignon Don Melchor – Chile, Maipo Valley, Puente Alto (2/3/2017)
Tasted non blind.
Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Lovely nose of rose petals, plums, berries and cherries. A little lacking in fruit on the palate showing mostly flavors of Herbs du Provence up front followed by some plum and berry flavors. Medium acidity, fully resolved tannin, full bodied. Drink now. We let this go about 3-4 years to long evidence by the lack of palate. (91 points)
