- 2005 Allegrini Palazzo della Torre Veronese IGT – Italy, Veneto, Veronese IGT (12/31/2016)
Tasted non blind.
Garnet color in glass, remarkably clear looking throughout. Nose of Kirsch, iron, wet stones and a little bit of red fruit. Flavors of tangy red berries dominate with a hint of minerals on the clipped finish. Tart acidity, resolved tannin, medium body. Drink five years ago.
I recently did an inventory of my cellar and found this bottle that should’ve been drank about 5-6 years ago. It still had some life in it but very little. If you happen to still have one you better drink it soon and fast and have a backup bottle handy.
