- 2012 Kutch Pinot Noir McDougall Ranch – USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (2/19/2015)
Tasted blind as part of Blind Pinot Tasting.
Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of birch, soapstone, black berries and black cherries. Flavors of red berries, red raspberries and red cherries. Medium acidity, medium tannin, medium body. Drink or hold.
My guess was this is a current or recent vintage of California Pinot Noir.
