- 2011 Copain Pinot Noir “En Haut” Kiser – USA, California, North Coast, Anderson Valley (2/18/2015)
Tasted blind as part of Blind Pinot Tasting.
Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of birch, root beer, black berries and black cherries. Flavors of black berries, black cherries and black raspberries. Medium to bright acidity, medium tannin, medium to full bodied. Drink now with air or continue to hold.
My guess was this is a current or recent vintage of California Pinot Noir.
This wine came in 10th place out of 14 wines with 10 tasters participating giving an average score of 90.05. (92 points)
