Garnet to dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of birch, rose petals, black berries and black cherries. Flavors of black berries, black cherries and a bit of boysenberry jam. Medium acidity, medium tannins, full bodied. Drink over the next 2 to 5 years and start with a brief decant. (93 points)
